Bioware shuting down feels more like a mercy kill atp because for so many years it felt like the devs and people there were hungry for opportunities to make things happen but EA higher ups and upper management just kept saying no. It breaks my heart but I can't say I'm surprised.

you can't judge when bioware was really killed because the mismanagement at the higher level under EA has been so constant and pervasive since the acquisition at every stage that every game shipped at all was a herculean miracle

what upsets me is that every company that's been shuttered mentions "generations" when the cruel reality that 30 years is hardly the span of one person's career. most of our grandparents worked their office and factory jobs for 30+ years. video games as a career path didn't even last 1 generation.
