When sharing this w/ a friend, he replied "Gawd are we all starved for kindness or what?" Has stuck with me since. We indeed are - starving for decency, kindness & compassion. Later, told my son these thoughts, & the upcoming elections will reflect such. He couldn't see that. He's 40.
