I guessed it was always tracking who was linking who, but I'd never seen it disclosed in app. Maybe a regional roll-out? Either way, always got to sanitise your links unfortunately

It's the ?igsh= param attached to the end of the URL when attempting to share a link from the Instagram app. It's fairly new, I only caught it when a friend sharing reels with me suddenly had their account on every link.

This is why I try to never interface with insta or facebook. Way too many sites do tracking link shit nowadays but they’re the kings of it fr. Insta at least let me be Epsi, so no doxxing, but facebook will ban you for not using ur irl. Even bans obvious fake names and requires face scan on sign up.
