In #LuigisMansion, the sheet covering the mirror in the foyer mysteriously reappears if you take a step toward the double doors on the upper level. It’s probably just the result of assets unloading and reloading for memory management, but it has the side benefit of adding to the unease. #nintendo

The industry rumour is that they had a big project leadership turnover a couple years ago and rather than bringing in people to finish it up they opted to just hyper polish what they had. That and a general sense of it being AB tested to death. All the worst excesses of triple A game design.
