Most systems can be overridden on host companies own network or by authenticated VPN connection to get a reset code.

The fact that swapping phones causes such a headache shows they need further refinement In Norway we can use the BankID to confirm ID for most things, but seemings not for 2FA apps.

You probably neede to have the 2FA system active to get the 2FA code to install the 2FA system. reminds me of a firm that installed new cars access on outer doors over weekend and planned to siah out cards on monday. No one could get in to hand out the cards 🤣

But then you also need to shutter the Sun, Mail, Express, Telegraph and worst of all Facebook. Plenty avoid the news these days and rely on Facebook and the hateful biased shite that they push. BBC is only a small part of the problem in the UK.
