have gotten some really nice words of encouragement recently from people I look up to in re: art and I am so grateful for that and fired up to keep at it, man, it means the world to hear and I cannot and will not let it go to waste

It sucks. It sucks a lot. Especially for people working in games who had no voice or choice in this. Support them. Get involved with union efforts. Show up for the people actually making the games and those who stand up against decisions like this. Change only happens when we come together.

And for every time in my life I've heard and seen people confess, "I'm done with this company!," make it stick this time. It really does suck, but your dollar carries a lot more weight than you think. Choke 'em out, dry their assets out, let them eat themselves from the inside.

The truth of the matter is we need to be even more selective of where we give our dollar. If corporations want to charge over $1k for a console because AI is eating up tech and resources, then unfortunately we've gonna' have to stop supporting companies like Sony and Microsoft.
