Not the most important detail here but which absolute loser of an old fud thought 1) anything would be a reference to Room 101, a tv programme that's not been on for 20 years 2) the concept of it is offensive 3) the connection claimed makes any logical sense

...as well as how such a massive change was actually going to work in practice and on that timescale. But I also think the landscape (and attitudes) are changing really rapidly. It just takes one person in a dept talking about how they benefitted from OA pub (like me!) to help move the needle.
