also? if i really want to smash the patriarchy i can start by not dating them, at least for awhile, and not giving them so much power over my self-worth and personal well-being. they don’t decide who i am. i do that through my words, actions and internalized beliefs. liberation ain’t about approval.

i’m glad i have my ethics and photo reminders that i am not ugly or worthless. i am traumatized, demoralized and exhausted. there’s a difference. i still have value even when my disabilities make it difficult to function and i can still do things. i just have to build momentum from a slow roll.
