The DR-Z4S was a paint shaker and even the steel tractor seats of my youth were more comfortable than that saddle but I had no trouble keeping up with the bikes ahead of me - two 800s and two 1000s.

The GT was first and I absolutely loved it. Torque was omnipresent, with a roll-on feeling the same in 3rd or 6th. My only criticism would be the shifter being absolute mush made up for by the smoothest quickshifter I've met. I had to verify that it shifted on the screen before I trusted it.

I was tempted by a motorcycle today! @redpuppygirl.bsky.social and I went to a Suzuki demo ride event. I rode a GSX-S1000GT and DR-Z4S.

Heading home from Wild Wheels I decided @redpuppygirl.bsky.social could use some twisties so I planned a route of US 58 toward Stuart, Virginia, turning onto VA 8 at the bottom of the mountain and taking that to Floyd. 8 has many curves and two nice switchbacks between Woolwine and Tuggle's Gap.
