I've only adopted three cats in my adult living on my own (ish, with a partner) lifetime, two of them because when we moved down here we didn't have any cats so, day one, get broom and dustpan, trash bags, settling in stuff, and cats. Obviously. Can't have a home without cats.

Seconding the 'please, if you have room and inclination, adopt' because what if you DO adopt some little creecher and you're like "I have never had a cat before, he is very cute but what do I do with him" and he's like "YOU DO THIS" for a solid month (Photo from July 2022)
