Memphis has its problems as a city, but it has: 1. A bass pro shop that is also the 10th largest pyramid in the world 2. A hotel that conducts a daily duck parade. 3. A solid argument for having the best bbq in the world (there are maybe 4 or 5 other cities that you can also make this for)

was the first place I went post pandemic restrictions—thanks to @langwhitaker.bsky.social—and yeah the barbecue is top notch, also has the civil rights museum which is incredible, the stax museum (ditto), sun studios, AND beale street
