Who cares what russia will agree to? And the money is a loan to Ukraine - EU keeps the russian assets and lend it to Ukraine. If we don’t do this, Ukraine will fall and russia will focus on EU. Isn’t it better to risk and try?

"Safe"? In WW2 Britian? What? I'm no monarchist, but she stepped up. Did she live in a castle surrounded by barbed wire? Sure, but how would that have helped if an invasion had happened? She and her sister could have been shipped off to one of the colonies - but they didn't. Your bias is showing.
