Show PostDon't succumb to the weird combination of Technobabble triumphalism peddled by the bill's biggest champions or to the political cynicism & defeatism that underpins the "if we don't get this, we get nothing" trope. It's all bullshit. You don't surrender to win. You fight to win. 👊🏼✊🏼💪🏼
Show PostAnd that post-11/3 change is not just the death of this bad bill (it really is bad & not a close call to oppose unless you're panicking) but real mojo to get shit done that makes a real difference—not just capitulate, as BAAJA does, to capital & markets (driven by AI). We can win this fight.
Show PostMy instinct reading the tea leaves: (1) BAAJA has momentum that may prove ephemeral b/c; (2) it's momentum is not so much a function of the bill's merits; but rather (3) reactionary politics; & (4) hesitation to speak in opposition to Sens. Whitehouse & Heinrich. This will change after 11/3.
