A gall of Aceria brachtarsus on a walnut leaf in north Suffolk, apparently a first for the county - first found in the UK in 2021, and only nine records on iRecord (from London-Leicester-Norwich) @galling.bsky.social

Rubbish photos (will try and get better) but these are both new species for me today. 2 for the price of 1 when I looked on the underside of the Water Lily leaves in the garden pond: aphid Rhopalosiphum nymphaeae and planthopper Megamelodes quadrimaculatus. #insects #invertebrates
