every single study done on this shows that the actual best behavior is done under consistent pseudonyms and people behave worse under real names it’s counterintuitive but at this point the real names thing is willful denial of evidence

I think a key thing that many people miss is that there's a massive chasm of difference between *anonymity* — e.g. 4chan — and *pseudonymity* — e.g. what I do — and "real name" policies treat them as identical.
