I promised my husband I wouldn't come downstairs with any bad news today, but I think my silently going to the kitchen to grab a beer at 11:30am and then just as silently walk upstairs with it was probably a clue. Also, I didn't rinse out my glass enough. This beer tastes like soap. What a day.

This Fourth of July, I am taking a moment to reflect. Things are hard right now. They are probably going to get worse before they get better. But I love our country — and when you love something, you fight for it. Together, we will continue to fight for the ideals of our nation.
