Been playing #ttrpgs for over two decades. Quit playing D&D post 3.5e and never looked back. #dndisnotforme , I prefer narrative systems like Genesys, pbta, BitD or Mutant Year Zero. Always open to experience new games, worlds and systems!

Verstehe ich völlig. Deshalb habe ich auch zuerst eine cleane Version gemacht, die aber zusätzlich zur offiziellen Version noch Regelhinweise enthält. Beides wird es später als Download geben
Show PostIt's not about success, failure, or so so. It's about treating a dice roll as a subsystem. Like when a designer comes up with combat-but-for-talking. That's the scope of a Move, but condensed so it's not like Burning Wheel. The problem then with PbtA is having many minigames. Not all are good.

Show PostA PbtA Move is a minigame where so-so is the median outcome. That result is usually where most of the moving parts collide. It's like when most people clean a room. A 10+ result leaves less story about the mess that preceded. If you want good things play Mouse Guard. You can't fail a roll in it.
Show PostStuff like this is why degrees of success in TTRPGs are so beloved by people that want to reject the binary failure states of games like DND5e/5.5. PBTA or systems like Fabula or Daggerheart create options for degrees of results which feels better. It does create some GM-layer issues though.
