Except for that one time where everything fucks up - traffic jams, queues etc. and you barely make it to your plane. Better to be sat around than not getting where you were supposed to be going.

Ah, the postings of someone who hasn't experienced arriving over three hours early for a European flight at Birmingham Airport and still have to bypass the security queue to make their flight. The joys of the 2024 scanner disaster. We skipped foreign holidays in 2025 after that.
