I know J.K. Simmons has had a very illustrious career of being great in everything, but its hard to overstate how extremely good he is as Tenzin in Legend of Korra. He managed to balance pathos and regularly being the butt of the joke so well, and is such a treat in basically every scene he's in.

(My Korra rewatch has hit the middle of season 2, which I know is the season most people dislike, but I can never hate, mostly for the Bumi/Kya/Tenzin side stuff and also Aubrey Plaza as Bolin's unhinged jilted waterbender princess girlfriend, Eska)

I'm working on thumb notes (not that @natalienardozza.bsky.social needs much noting, the work is impeccable, so it's mostly just me and @wellsthomp.bsky.social screeching like pterodactyls about how good it is), and it's making my heart so full. I'm going to miss these babes.

So obsessed with the book we've been crafting. I'm constantly in awe of the skill on display on every page of By Appointment Only. Panel unrelated but you want to know what's happening, I promise. @wellsthomp.bsky.social @natalienardozza.bsky.social @marinletters.bsky.social @pianta.bsky.social

Actual photos of @wellsthomp.bsky.social and I going over art and colors and letters as they come in. Not sure how he turned into a cat but it's not my job to ask questions.
