Reading the Empire of AI by Karen Hao has been a trip. I never knew that William MacAskill convinced Samuel Bankman-Fried, once a physics major wannabe academic, to go all in for EA. This is a philosophy “embracing the principles of capitalism and libertarianism-all in the name of morality.” Wow.
