I’d be more curious to hear about technological waves that were genuinely confined to the dustbin because they were useless. Note, crypto does not count because it has turned out to be quite useful (for now, mostly for committing crime)

Show PostMaybe my favorite vision of a post-work future are the Truth Mines in Diaspora, a virtual cave system where every known mathematical theorem is linked by tunnels that trace out the path from basic axioms to a proof. People just go into them to explore even though most everything is known
