My 7th grader successfully gave the Heimlich maneuver to a classmate who was choking at lunch today at his CPS school. And a friend pointed out it was National Hero’s Day. Ice cream all around to celebrate his quick thinking, bravery, and calm strength! I legit could not be more proud. ♥️

I had a tiny black and white TV I had smuggled to my room, and watched a fun movie of the week. The next week it was “The Poseidon Adventure” and when the ship was flipped and that guy fell through that window, I turned off the TV, took it out of my room, and hid under the covers.

My favorite action sequence experience was going to see SWORDFISH in a theater during college, and in the opening scene there is a slow motion explosion One friend leaned forward, looked down the whole row, and said “ HOLY MACARONI” like Homer in “Homer 3-D” and it was perfect
