And that real life Robert Patrick on foot had to slow down when they were filming the chase scene with the dirt bike because he was too fast.

It's because he trained to run with his mouth closed to look more inhuman, so his cardio fitness was crazy by the time they started shooting. He was able to keep up with the reversing car during the asylum chase for a shockingly long time too.
