What drivel is this?.. JSON is a data exchange format for one, you don't "code" in it. Same for XML. XML as a data-exchange format is not ideal either. JSON is far and away a better choice for concise data communication, and ease of deserialization. Unless you are a VB programmer in the early 2000s.

This. Not to mention the fact that most LLMs are specifically designed to understand and use JSON. Just taking ChatGPT as an example, you define input parameters for tool calls as a JSON schema, same for defining the output schema when using structured output mode.
