Rather than play the "what he said/what he meant" game with Trump's comments about LA and San Diego being nuked, let's reckon with the fact that the president is so cognitively impaired and incoherent that we have to discuss comments he made about LA and San Diego being nuked.

Perhaps the issue is that the President is continually rambling in an increasingly incoherent manner, giving rise to misinterpretation and implied malice, similar to the way Biden began verbally stumbling in public last term, and somehow our political press isn’t covering it with the same energy?
