I did not realize that as I get closer to taking myself offline in 2027 as well as committing to doing nothing event- or teaching- or facilitating-related in 2027 would be so exciting. I need a year off from the world. This is as close as I can get to that.

Kazuo Ishiguro is probably my favorite contemporary writer, and it pains me that outside of "The Remains of the Day," no filmmaker has been able to capture his magic onscreen. "Klara and the Sun"--fantastic novel--doesn't seem like it breaks this trend.
