Annual reminder to throw some reposts and comments to indie devs you think are making cool stuff, if you have the energy for it. This goes for indie devs too. If you never engage with other people's stuff, chances are no one will engage with yours either. #gamedev

I still regularly see indie developers sure that once they've put a product on Steam that the store's algorithms and systems will handle promotion and visibility. I mean, that's what the 30% cut is for, right? No. Your game is barely even considered real until you hit 100 user reviews. 500 ideally.
