I could see our museum getting into this activity - commercial aviation themed tours of significant stations and routes we served / opened like Tokyo, Seattle, or Minneapolis; or expeditions across Montana or the Great Circle route up to Alaska, for instance.

I started in the airline biz in 1988 as an intern, then as a hire, it was different. Smoking was the worst! As a standby, you took whatever seat was available...having to fly from Prague to Istanbul with a stop in Sofia while being in the smoking section probably shortened my life by a few months.

What I’m thinking about right now are the incredible pilots & flight attendants with Spirit who are over 40 years old and in an absolute nightmare as far as their professional futures. It’s a helluva thing to be a 55-year old Airbus captain at a bankrupt airline.
