John Lennon was once in a boy band. He and that boy band were boosted to prominence and influence on the back of female fandom. The deeply important and iconic John Lennon had the privilege to take risks musically and otherwise due to the social and economic capital from those boy band roots.

💯 I saw the Beatles on their Ed Sullivan appearance. They called them 'moptops' and they sang teen love songs. My brother and I loved "I Wanna Hold Your Hand". Tae's music is beautiful, quite sophisticated R&B.
