if you can read jp you should definitely read the interviews going around in that and not the groklation bc it's clearly just sugarcoated "we're making an anime with 12/24/whatever episodes, here are a couple ideas we juggled for how to make that possible and coherent" lol

So another interesting tidbit they dropped on Facebook: Macross Frontier goes up for preorder in December, and in the U.S. it’s through the new GKIDS store, despite being an Anime Ltd license. Sure seems like Toho wants to bring the two closer together.
