Nocturnal Breed | Carry the Beast So, this is fun. Speed/thrash with a black metal tinge and vocals that, just IMO, sound like if you put Bobby Blitz and the high pitched parts by Lance Lencioni (Macabre) together. #metalsky #nowspinning nocturnalbreedofficial.bandcamp.com/album/carry-...

Omen | Nightmares Very good trad/power metal. Big vocals & sweet riffs. It’s from 1987 - back when Metal Blade still listed their Telex number on the back of albums. That cracks me up thinking about Brian Slagel reading text messages off a scroll. #metalsky #nowspinning m.youtube.com/watch?v=jOR8...

Beneath the Flesh | Reborn into Carnage My former band played many times with these guys. Solid death metal band and fun dudes. We used to play a place that was 70’s pizza parlor by day and death metal venue by night. Miss those days and bands. #metalsky #deathmetal m.youtube.com/watch?v=p-Vo...

Death Angel | Humanicide They have morphed from OS thrash to modern thrash incredibly well. The highs aren’t as high as on Act III, but the lows are miles above modern Big 4 faux pas. There’s no 72 Seasons, St. Anger or Super Collider crap here. #metalsky #nowspinning m.youtube.com/watch?v=9JHn...

Deftones | S/T So, I hate that this band gets categorized as “borderline” metal. When nu-metal was destroying metal as a genre, they turned left from the crowd and released White Pony - a classic. They’ve released several great albums since. #metalsky #nowspinning m.youtube.com/watch?v=nRVe...
