Factoid: At launch, the cheapest Mk2 Cortina was the 2dr 1300 de luxe though in some markets you could get 1200cc version using the Anglia Super engine. When the Escort was launched Ford offered the Mk2 Cortina with its 1098cc engine in some export markets which was v slow car indeed… (📸: Autocar)
