More seriously, I think you were probably in the right headspace with this is not being a full weight car and definitely not being a consumer product. But nothing here stretches credulity purely physics-wise. It just doesn't make economic sense.

Another company co-owned makes literal space capsules with the exact kind of thrusters that car is using. As much as I don't want to give Musk any points for anything because he's an evil Nazi, that car is pretty cool. But fuck Musk, he'll never get my money.
