Put another way, no artist or entity can or should have a say in the way their work is read or analyzed or written about. You can own the work, but you cannot own the context of that work.
Show PostThe issue isn't hypocrisy in who is allowed to violate IP. The issue is framing AI training as an IP violation at all. AI training is generally transformative. AI output is generally transformative. A world where transformative use is illegal is a hellscape of corporate enforced thought crimes.
