I’m excited to share my first metagenomics preprint 🧬 We used Nanopore metagenomics to compare swabs and sputum for community-acquired pneumonia. Sputum provided stronger pathogen-detection support than swabs, highlighting its potential as a non-invasive sample type for respiratory metagenomics.
