Fairbanks (Weather Bureau/NWS) has not reported a single December in the past 96 years when the lowest temperature wasn't at least -20F (-28.9C). And December 2025 looks very unlikely to break that streak, with the multi-model guidance forecasting 20s below next weekend. #akwx #Winter2026

High temperatures (ºF) in and around Alaska on Wednesday. Much milder in western Alaska from upper Bristol Bay to Nothwest Arctic Borough. I know folks have mixed feelings about AI. Me too. Am I a bad person for asking Claude how to get my two minipages to correctly top-align? Claude gave me the answer in about 30 seconds (insert a \vspace{0pt} below the \begin{minipage}[t]{...} ) which would have taken a long time to find myself.
