Making a tomato and red pepper soup with most of it from the garden. We had a bunch of orange peppers and Roma tomatoes left, so it’s all getting roasted with garlic and onions from the store, but oh man it’s already smelling fantastic even before I stick it in the oven.

Frosts are perilously close but we continue getting hauls of poblano peppers and greens. One poblano plant has produced over 100 3-4 inch peppers. Our fig tree, on the other hand, has dozens of fruit, but none are ripening.

#ARSE #FoodP0rnDoItForTheAngel SO HERE WE ARE, mid-spooky season, and still harvesting tomatoes. This lot are destined for tomato puree. And we still have enough of them to eat. Those dark patches are the natural colouring of the fruit. These pics don't really do them justice.
