So this. In 1962, the year before the measles vaccine appeared, there were just under 500K cases in the US; and 517 died. Vaccine uptake took time, but by 2020 the US saw 13 cases—no deaths. Now, in the Trump/RFK Jr. era we've topped 4k cases. At least four unvaccinated patients have died.*
