This is damning. So much could could have been done at the time, with what was known about COVID, and with what what resources we had. It’s hard not to read callous neglect into these findings. And that intentional neglect was layered with lies - like the “protective ring” - which did not exist.

Prison time for the incompetence, profiteering & lack of concern for the sick, elderly and front line workers. And also for ignoring the Cygnus Exercise findings. It was a mass manslaughter event and so far nobody is being held responsible. Many of us lost people or are still suffering symptoms.

The aim by the Government, but quite bluntly, was survival of the fitness. So they were quite happy to allow the elderly and infirm to die. And it was uneconomical to provide PPE. Whether those that made those decisions should be prosecuted is for us all to judge. Write to your MP with your view

All that said, credit where credit is due: Standing at the helm of a sinking Titanic impotently spinning its wheel left and right while petulantly whining at the panicking crew for not saluting you is a perfect metaphor for the Trump administration's current Iran policy.
