When Democrats gain control of a government body, any Republican who was even tangentially involved in the January 6th coup attempt should be removed from office under the 14th Amendment's Insurrection Clause. We are past the point of mutual tolerance with Republicans.

I've been immersed in research on Reconstruction in Lousiana and it's a very difficult truth to absorb that the white terrorist movement in the South was among the most successful terrorist movements in global history. Took 10 years but it won a total & complete victory through murder and atrocity.

I agree with this sentiment, but I don't want a South African style Truth and Reconciliation Committee. I just want criminal prosecutions for those who merit that and the names of everyone else on a blacklist that will follow them for the rest of their lives.
