Ah, Nona, a fever dream of exposition. Honestly I love that book, but it’s not for folks who like to understand What Is Going On.

Finished Swordheart, by T. Kingfisher. I’m accustomed to her books being quite a bit darker with more horror elements, but her brilliant writing, world building, and character work shine through no matter what the tone is —this book proves it. A delightful, romantic, and frequently funny fantasy.
