Most distant fast radio burst ever discovered just dropped! This FRB gives us clues about what FRBs are and tells us about the cold, dark stuff between us and other galaxies science.nasa.gov/missions/web... 📡🧪

💥A 10 billion-year-old radio signal reaches Earth 💥 🚨 Exciting new FRB paper led by @sydney.edu.au astronomers @manishacaleb.bsky.social & Dr Themiya Nanayakkara 🚨 www.spaceaustralia.com/feature/10-b... 📸 JWST/NASA/ESA/CSA/STScI/T. Nanayakkara/J. DePasquale #SpaceAustralia #RadioAstronomy 🔭📡

By combining data from MeerKAT and JWST, @manishacaleb.bsky.social et al. have traced a fast radio burst to a low-mass galaxy at redshift 2. That's only three billion years after the Big Bang, during the Universe's peak in star formation rate. ☄️🔭 #radioastro www.science.org/doi/10.1126/...

#NASAWebb has pinpointed the host galaxy of the most distant fast radio burst ever seen. The galaxy proved surprisingly small and young, which provides a clue to the source of the burst: https://news.stsci.edu/4hEmZip 🔭

Finishing papers happens at sporadic times, so I think 24/year would make more sense than 2/month. Other than that, no reason the limit shouldn’t be permanent. No human can write a good scientific paper every two weeks.
