like it was already awkward enough having to write around covid and keep the dates vague and non-specific so it could Maybe take place before 2020 but now it's like. you can't write a contemporary tech ceo without mentioning ai. it would be a glaring absence.

was rereading my abandoned attempt at a superhero romance novel where one half of the couple is a newly-rich tech ceo and had the realization that i'd started writing it so long ago that it predates the AI boom. it became a period piece within the span of its own creation.
