Seconding this as another nonbinary wheelchair user. My husband is my caregiver, but I have to choose clothing that is easy to get on and off, and is comfortable to wear in bed all day.

As prices continue to rise but wages (and disability benefits) don't, I find myself feeling guilty for $20 purchases that keep me from going insane. The things I used to be able to afford to kill time are too expensive now, so I spend more time sleeping. My body feels the consequences of it everyday
Show PostDisability is built from the ground up to keep you humble and unambitious. The 2000 dollar cap, the fact any additional income you make is deducted from the money you get -- it's insidious and mean and has completely fucked my self-image forever

If for no other reason, under the principle that revocation of accessibility based on who you don’t personally like will not stop at the people you don’t like. My childhood abuser is now disabled. I would rather see him accommodated than see an entire world without accommodations.
