Last weekend I went to SPRU. I bought some minis you may have never seen before. Let me show you those minis. youtu.be/oaWE8p_W6X8

Got back from the band getaway yesterday and was able to sit down an paint some minis for a first time in a while. Threw some movies on whilst I was doing it and let me tell you, Soylent Green, THX 1138, and Babylon 5: A Call to Arms was a very odd trio of things to watch whilst painting a Furby.

I am vastly oversimplifying there, of course, but I suppose it just goes to show that being ahead of the curve is only good when the curve isn't diving headfirst into the 21st century resurgence of fascism.

Watching Soylent Green has lead me to reading Charlton Heston's Wikipedia page and it's wild how one person can be both 'a vocal civil rights advocate in the 60s' and 'a harbinger of the modern right-wing culture war'. He was like a Krusty doll that someone flipped the good/evil switch of in 1972.

Today is one of those 'can't really do anything productive until people get back to me' kinda days, so I guess I'll go do some more painting until I am got back to.
