The technology is not getting cheaper or more accessible. The price of computer hardware is through the roof right now because the AI companies have bought up all the RAM that will be manufactured for the next few years.

Show PostJust scanned the paper. They appear to be using gradient boosted trees to do classification on wavelet data. This is completely different technology to what is being discussed here.
