That was as good a performance as we could ask of this #SaintsFC team. Commitment, effort, skill and discipline, to a man. 👏👏👏👏👏

Usual lazy TV pundit & commentator analysis of refereeing on #BBCMOTD and elsewhere. In #SaintsFC game ref sees ball moving when struck, so blows whistle correctly. Not 'controversial' nor 'right decision for wrong reason. Just correct. #BBC owe it to refs to be better informed if criticising refs.

He's clearly a big voice and a respected one. He would argue he's been an EPL player, and whilst maybe he won't ever be a top one, he's definitely earned the right to say that. Hes given the best part of his career to Saints and been part of some huge games. One of 3 left from Leeds playoff starters

I think you've hit the nail on the head. Before Leo, Azaz or Armstrong dropped deep to collect the ball from defence and quickly pinging it in behind for others to run on to. It worked for 4-5 games, now the opposition track the runs whilst our ponderous 3 CBs find new ways to invite the press.

Certainly how it looks. It is possible that Eckhert worked out a Plan B tactic that would enable our squad to progress the ball up the pitch quickly, and other coaches have now adapted, and again there is no Plan C, so we are back to Plan A, which as we know, doesn't work.
