Doug Christie seems to have the Kings energized. One thing he's definitely gotten right: Giving Keon Ellis a bigger role. Ellis is the team's best defender and should have been a big part of the rotation all season long.

that Mike Evans moment is one of the best scenes from this entire season. team had just made the playoffs and all everyone on that sideline wanted was to get Mike those 5 yards.

If you're about as good as Mayfield or a little worse, you're not a $45-55M a year QB. That's the line. (Carr, Geno Smith a few others in there, too.) I think Purdy is above that line and should only get more above it in the next few years. But he's not WAY above that line.

My general idea is that Baker Mayfield at $33.3M a year is a solid measuring stick for Brock Purdy's value. Baseline "Quality QB1" but not a star. I've watched a lot of Mayfield--career year, carried TAM most of the way. Stronger arm than Purdy. But I think Purdy is better. Also 5 years younger.
