Imagine having $30,000 in credit card debt and being able to pay it all off instead of racking up 20% interest charges that compound year after year. Absolutely life-changing.

For $30K I could settle my credit card debt, pay off my car, book a vacation to Tokyo and have enough left over to buy a proper pinball machine. That's just me, too. Imagine what it could do for a family of four that truly needs it.

While I wouldn't say exactly life changing, 30k is nearly an entire years pay after taxes for me. That amounts to buying a new car now days. It's still a very substantial amount of money.

Let's not ignore that $30,000 is a lifechanging amount of money, and could be better spent on raising the actual child by the family. Instead, we have this mess.
