I literally wrote «…it is still a great accomplishment for the two scientists.» I think it’s important for people to understand the reality of phase one trials and not leap to the conclusion that this is a market ready drug.

I couldn’t believe that they were talking about something real, so I went into the living room where my mom and brother were watching The Today Show. It was real. The second plane hit. A few minutes later, I got on the school bus.

I was sixteen and getting ready for school. I was brushing my hair; I had it straightened back then. I was only half-listening to the morning show on my favorite station when they started talking about an airplane hitting one of the Twin Towers. A DJ said it looked like a Godzilla movie.

Phase one. This is interesting but nowhere near market. Most phase one drugs never make it to market. However, it is still a great accomplishment for the two scientists.
